SEWDORKY NEWS
Sewdorky Sabbatical
Sewdorky is taking a leave of absence from the crazy world of retail to pursue other creative endeavors, namely being a stay-at-home dad. While the retail web shop will be closed please check the links page for shops that will continue to carry a limited variety of Sewdorky products. If you’d like to stay in touch or are curious to receive info on when will be back up ‘n’ running please email info@sewdorky.com or check out www.myspace.com/sewdorky
Thanks so much for the support. You people rock. Time to change the diapers…
Best,
Stuart (aka Sewdorky)

12.14.06 - Oh man. The Limited Edition Monster Tooth is SOLD OUT! Thanks to an awesome write-up in the equally awesome Venus Mag! Fear not (or perhaps become more fearful) as a new fuzzy, scarier, more monster-y, Monster Tooth is soon on the way! Monster Tooth 2.0: The Revenge.
12.05.06 - So this weekend was Urban Craft Uprising here in Seattle. 'Twas a blast filled with early holiday cheer and the like. I must say, Miss Schmancy and I rocked the house. Thanks to all those who stopped by to say hi to us!
11.30.06 - Hey, look for our mention in the upcoming Venus magazine Holiday Shoppin' Guide! It's got a story 'bout Cat Power too! Bonus!

10.16.06 - New stores galore! Sewdorky is excited to now be available in The Wool Shack in Perth, Australia! What a lovely excuse to finally make that trip to Australia!! Also up in our favorite vacation city - Vancouver, BC - in the rad Occupied Shoppe and we're back in stock at the cozy Artist's Merchantile in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
Plush You '06 is comin', so is Urban Craft Uprising. Bring the noise. Bring the funk. Finally got a few new paintings posted. Get 'em while, I got 'em.
9.02.06 - Check out the Sewdorky interview from last month's "Week of Toys" at the Craft magazine blog. This new blog has already featured some awesome stuff and I can't wait for the new mag to hit the newsstands.

6.23.06 - Hey, how's your summer? Good? Good. Sewdorky's doin' swell. The School of Dentistry has been busy; happily outfitting the world with Sweet Tooths, as well as Pimpin' Ones and Monster Freak-a-zoids. More paintings coming soon - both donuts and tooths! New photos up now!

We got our favorite fanmail ever from Lily a few weeks ago. Lily is a super excellent Sewdorky fan (if we had a secret Sewdorky handshake she'd know it.).
For the record, Sewdorky fully supports the Dutch on their way to being World Cup Champions. Upon winning, the entire team gets a free Sewdorky on us (just tell us where to send 'em).
4.26.06 - The Sewdorky School of Dentistry opens!

Enrollment expected to reach 2.8 million by 2020. Be among the first.
3.21.06 - Wanna be friends?? C'mon, it'll be cool, I'll come over and we can play foosball in your parents basement.
3.15.06 - Front page news! In the Seattle Times Northwest Life Section. Thanks Florangela!

3.01.06 - All hail the sparkly new Goth Rocks. I know... I know... I've never seen an all-black donut with weird-ass sprinkles and blood red detailing either but you gotta admit, you'd order it from Winchell's if you saw one in the case. Dave Gahan sang it best, "I'm your own... Personal... Donut..."
1.14.06 - Today is MLK Day and from now on $1 from each website sale goes to the King Center in Atlanta, GA - a Non-Profit organization dedicated to the forwarding Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. concepts of non-violence, peace and equality. Why? Just because.
1.1.06 - Happy New Year to all! I think the world for the most part is glad 2005 is behind us. Here's to hoping for a peaceful and happy 2006!
Sewdorky is kicking off the New Year with a show of donut portraiture in the elegant and sophisticated environs of Velouria Boutique in the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. Opening night is January 14th (we may even have edible donuts to nosh on that evening!).
